Mary Lou was the twin sister of Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Edwards who married Ully's brother George Hayes Keener.
They were born across the NC/VA line in Virginia.
After Ully died in 1937, Mary Lou would take it time about spending 6 months with her girls. At the time of her death
she was with my Grandmother Ethel Keener Green in Columbus, Georgia. I have postcards where she wrote sister Bessie that "Mama" was sick only a few days before her death.
From Aunt Virginia I was told that Mary Lou was less than 5 foot tall and weights over 300 pounds. She spent most of her time, in later years, in bed. After her death, the body was shipped by train to Bryson city where she was buried next to Ully, her husband since she was 15 years old.
