Azzie was the son of Thomas Davis and Lizzie Griffith. He first married Etta Cottrell in 1905. They had two children Viola and Edward. After Etta's death he married Mary Daisy (McQuay) Rhoden Davis Oct. 25, 1919. They had Joseph b. Dec. 31, 1920, Bernard R. b. abt. 1919, Azzie Jr. b. Jun 9, 1922, Mary b. abt. 1924, David b. 1928, Dorothy b. Feb. 17, 1931 and Betty b. abt. 1934.
