She and John R. Duty were married on August 10, 1847 in Johnson County, Illinois.
She was the mother of nine children, the eighth of whom was my great grandfather, James G.A. Duty. She had many grandchildren, including my grandfather, Ernest Samuel Duty.
She is buried here near some of her children, including her son, Jackson, a daughter-in-law, Matilda (Tildie) Evaline Duty, and her daughter, Mary Elizabeth DUTY Grimm.
She was very much loved and missed by her family and all who knew her.
