Jane Mason Fields, 85, adoring wife to Wally Fields and loving mother to Paul and Greg, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the late hours of May 28th.

Jane was born in 1938 in Forest Mississippi, to parents, Fred and D'vo Lloyd. She grew up with her younger brother, Billy and was influenced by her family to be a loving, caring, independent woman. Jane was a woman of many talents and professions. A proud MSU graduate, she influenced many children in her 30 year teaching career with JPS and Clinton. In addition, she was a professional photographer. She loved to travel in her free time and was actively involved in United Commercial Travelers. A Christian Lady, She attended Salem Baptist Church and formally Clinton Methodist Church.

Jane was married to Charlie Mason over 48 years. Years after his death, she and long-time family friend, Wally Fields, who had also lost his spouse, began seeing each other. They were soon married on July 31, 2020.

Jane is survived by her sons, Paul Mason (Carla) and Greg Mason (Shannon), 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many wonderful friends. In addition her "inherited" family includes Kathy Priddy (Garland) and Cindy Seal, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

At the time of her death, she was survived by her brother, Billy Lloyd, who passed away approximately 2.5 – 3 hours later on May 29.

We would like to share our appreciation to the Staff of Willow Creek Rehab and Nursing Facility in Byram. Their loving care and compassion for them and all our family is deeply appreciated. Words cannot express how much it means to us.
