She was born February 29, 1919 in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, a daughter of the late William and Linda Winkel Sitte. She graduated from Kiel High School in 1936.
On June 17, 1939 she was married to Walter Hermann at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The couple made their home in Plymouth since 1958.
They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17, 1989. She was a member of St John Lutheran Church and a former member of the Ladies Evening Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Walter, one daughter Sharon (Dale) Hinze, one grandson, Gary (Jolene) one brother Leslie (Evelyn) Witte.
Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
