Joe Edward "Boots" Streetman was born on December 24, 1942 in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee, the son of Thomas Jefferson "Jack" Streetman (1906–1957) and Mattie Malicca (Gullett) Streetman (1916–1996).

He was married about 1973 to Phyllis Pfister.

Boots worked at Frosty Morn and Ingram Materials where he worked as a truck driver and yard manager, respectively. He was a member of Excell Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #89. He enjoyed camping, working on hot rods and - in his younger years - riding motorcycles.

Still in Clarksville on the farm where he was born, he was 80 years old when he died June 2, 2023.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann (Streetman) Craig and by his brother Raleigh Thomas Streetman. Survivors included his widow, two sons and a sister-in-law, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services were held on June 8th at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville.
