Wilma Julia Mann Walden, age 83, passed away at Magnolia Manor, in Cairo, GA on March 5, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Rev. John Paul Hasick will officiate with interment to follow in the Hawthorne Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Clark Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Walden, Darren Moore, Dusty Moore, Jamie Walden, Stacy Smith, and Nat Higdon.

Mrs. Walden was born in Tift County, GA on November 7, 1924 to the late Leroy Mann and Ada Brown Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delma Walden, Sr. in 1990. She was a retired para-professional for the Grady County Board of Education. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include; sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby and Scarlett Walden of Bainbridge, GA, Billy and Jane Walden of Cairo, GA; daughters and son-in-law: Cathy and Billy Moore of Whigham, GA, Babs Walden of Cairo, GA and Judy Rich of Cairo, GA; sister, Lucille Mann Reed; brother, E. L. Mann of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren: Bobby and Melissa Walden, II of Newnan, GA, Darren and Dana Moore, of Cairo, GA, Jamie B. and Tonya Walden of Atlanta, GA, Hope and Stacy Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Dusty and Paige Moore of Whigham, GA, Heather and Nat Higdon of Cairo, GA, Chris Anderson of Cairo, GA, Jeff Anderson of Cairo, GA, Kim Anderson of Cairo, GA; great grandchildren: Lacey Moore, Dara Moore, Jackson Smith, Nathan Higdon, Kamen Moore, Stuart Higdon, Hanson Higdon, Claire Smith, and Colin Moore.

Mrs. Walden was preceded in death by her husband, Delma Walden, Sr. in 1990, her son, Delma Walden, Jr. in 1967, and her grandson, Kevin Walden in 2002.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Roddenbery Memorial Library, 320 North Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828.
