He was born June 19th, 1915 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of George F. Flieg and Martha C. Brishle.
He married LeEtta F. Loveall on August 18th, 1945 in Nevada. She preceded in death.
A son, Mike Flieg and his wife, Linda, of Yukon, Oklahoma; a brother, Martin Flieg of Ste. Genevieve; three sisters, Clara Drumm and Elvera Herbst, both of Ste. Genevieve; and Laura Zeller of St. Louis; one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews, survive him.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed at Camp Clark in Nevada. He was a member of Disabled America Veterans and the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Before moving to Nevada in July 1963, he worked for Starr Service Petroleum Company in St. Louis. After moving to Nevada, he worked for a number of years for Ferry Funeral Home and retired from 3M Company in Nevada.
Visitation is underway now and will continue until noon Friday, March 24th at the Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 24th, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nevada. Burial will be in the Newton Burial Park. The Rev. Anthony Pileggi will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
