Judith Libbie Peters Majek, age 93, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was born on October 31, 1929 to Raymond and Libbie Peters in Schulenburg, Texas. Her family moved to Corpus Christi in 1941. Judy loved attending school. Being the oldest child, Judy took care of her younger siblings.
Judy married Charlie Majek on June 22, 1948. Together they raised two sons.
Judy is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rosanna; her husband, Charlie; her parents, Raymond and Libbie Peters; her parents-in-law, Leo and Rosie Majek; her sister, Dolores; her brother Alphonse "Sonny"; her daughter-in-law, Sue; and two great grandchildren, Kathryn and Kimberly.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Seaside Reid Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
