Donald "Don" Dean Adams, age 78, of Nevada, MO passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Moore-Few Care Center.

Don was born April 5, 1945, in Nevada, MO to Clarence Kermit and Viola (Mahan) Adams. He graduated Nevada High School in 1963 and serviced his country in the United States Army. On April 8, 1972, he married Terri Mathis, and she survives of the home. Don was an entrepreneur through out his life, including real estate, car sales, and running the Nevada American Legion. His interests include cars and bars. He was a member of the Potawatomi Indian Nation.

Survivors include his wife, Terri; one daughter Carrie Adams, Nevada, MO; brothers, Leroy Adams, Liberty, MO and Joe Adams, Maryville, TN; sisters, Dianne Richardson, Lebanon, MO, Barbara Pierce, Tucson, AZ, Viola Wilson, Las Cruces, NM and Sharon Schaefer, Glen Carbon, IL; two grandsons, Keller Dean Adams and Gavin Reid Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Hurb Adams.

The funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, June 9, 2023, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fort Scott National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.

Memorials may be made to Nevada American Legion with the funeral home serving as custodian.
