Obituary (Lewistown Daily News, 23 Aug 1935)
LAST TRIBUTES PAID MEMORY MRS. SHERVEY
Funeral services for aged mother of Mrs. T.J. Bolin held from Creel Chapel Thursday afternoon.

Friends and relatives gathered at the Creel chapel Thursday afternoon to pay their last tributes of respect to the memory of Mrs. Christine Shervey, aged mother of Mrs. T.J. Bolin, who died at a local hospital last Monday. The Rev. R.K. Mostrom of the Zion Lutheran church conducted the funeral services, while many beautiful floral remembrances adorned the casket and altar. Interment was made in the City cemetery. The pallbearers were: C.A. Haeskel, C.L. Covell, F.S. Marr, Ben Anderson, R.J. Koch, and W.E. Douglass.

Mrs. Christine Shervey was born in Norway in June, 1850. She came to this country with her parents when 19 years of age. She was educated in the schools of Norway and a confirmed member of the Lutheran church. In 1872 she was married in Chippewa Falls, Wis., to Andrew Shervey, who died in October, 1915. Since the death of her husband in 1915 she has had her home with her daughter and family, coming to Lewistown with them five years ago. Her passing marks the demise of another of this country's pioneers, one who lived a long and blessed life on this earth and remained steadfast in her faith to the end.

Besides the daughter, Mrs. T.J. Bolin of this city, the deceased is survived by one son, Arthur, of Minneapolis: a grandson, James E. Bolin, of Spokane, and a great-grandson, Tommy, of Spokane.

Other Biographical Information
Even though Christina's obituary states that she and Andrew were married in 1872, a Wisconsin marriage record dates their marriage to 1875.
