Funeral services for Spec. 5 James W. Pitts, 32, one of six Texans killed Nov. 27 in the crash of a troop transport plan in Alaska, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Baum Funeral Home.

Military graveside services will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.

Pitts was en route to Vietnam aboard the troop transport.

He was a veteran of 12 years in the Marines and hand spent two years as a civilian employee of Southern Airways in Mineral Wells before enlisting in the Army last September.

Survivors include his wife, his mother, his father and stepmother, three sisters, and his grandmother.
