He worked at M.F. Weiss Plumbing & Heating, Brodheadsville, for most of his life.
Born in Kresgeville, he was a son of the late Mitchell J. "Sam" Kreger and the late Edith (Getz) Kreger.
He was a member of Jerusalem UCC, Trachsville.
Mitchell was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Suzanne Kresge, and her companion, Mark Neff, of Stroudsburg, and Melissa, wife of David Daycock of Boise, ID; a sister, MerylAnn DePue of Kresgeville; four grandchildren, Karey, Ryan, Abigail and Isabelle; and three-great grandchildren, Matthew, Johnny and Noah.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Lance Leslie Kreger and Dean David Kreger; and a sister, Norma Pudleiner.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Donald Quayle officiating. Interment, Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville.
