Verna B. Fisk
The funeral for Mrs. Verna B. Fisk, 72, was held Saturday afternoon at Burr-Green Funreal Home. Rev. Howe B. Perry pastor of the Fowler Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Fowler Cemetery.
Mrs. Fisk, widow of Jason Fisk, died Thursday morning, NOv 7, 1974 at Edward John Noble Hospital, where she had been admitted Wednesday evening.
Surviving are two sons, Basil, Hermon, Roger, Chase Mills; two daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Bethany) Manchester, Canton, Mrs. Ronald (Elouise) Miller, Newark; a brother, Frederick Becker, Oneida Castle, and nine grandchildren.
Born at Somerville, July 16, 1902, a daughter of Fred and Mabel Venton Becker, she was amrried to Jason Fisk at Gouverneur on Sept 28, 1927. The couple lived at Fowler while Mr. Fisk was employed by St. Joe MInerals as a shift foreman. He died Dec 29, 1958.
Mrs. Fisk had lived at Cambray Court three years and was its correspondent for the Tribune Press. She was a member of the Fowler Mission Circile and Gouverneur Senior Citizens.
