VALERIE HUDKINS OBITUARY
Valerie Lillian Hudkins, 84, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Marianne, and grandson Jake. Valerie was born in London, England in 1939. Her first memories were of being rushed by her Mother to hide in London bomb shelters during World War II. Aged 22, she left and immigrated to California. She worked as an administrative professional for most of her career in the South Bay. Valerie's passions included watching her grandson Jake play basketball, watching NFL football, singing around the piano with friends and family, drinking English tea in the garden, participating in church activities, and celebrating the Christmas holidays her favorite season. She also enjoyed volunteering as a docent tour guide at the Ainsley House in Campbell, and involvement in activities with the Cupertino De Oro Club. Valerie was a gentle, tender, loving, caring soul and will be greatly missed. Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. with Visitation beginning 6:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose, CA 95112. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at ST. CHRISTOPHER CHURCH, 2278 Booksin Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125. Interment will follow at 11:30 A.M. at GATE OF HEAVEN CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA 94024.
