Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Taylor, minister of Central United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home.
Mr. Stewart was born in Texline and graduated from Texline High School. After attending Clarendon Junior College and Texas Tech University, he farmed and ranched in the Perico area until retiring in 1968. He later owned and operated a real estate business.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
In 1929, he married Myrtle Trimble at Raton, N.M.
His daughter, Leota Pearl Stewart Lloyd, died in 1973. His son, Charles William Stewart, died in 1998.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Dee Stewart of Dalhart and Marion Arthur "Artie" Stewart of Hurst; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 1416 Sandhurst and suggests memorials be to Memorial Park Perpetual Care Cemetery Fund.
