J.E. Whiteley, 59, a former resident of this city, passed away at his home near Strathmore early this morning. He was a native of Parsons, Kansas. He left this city with his family more than 30 years ago, going to Tulare county; where he carried on his occupation of contractor and builder. Surviving are his wife, Harriet Whiteley, two sons, Ralph E. and Barrett J. Whiteley of Lindsay, four sisters and two brothers. Interment will be in Arlington cemetery, Lindsay.
