Jane Elizabeth Hardin, best known as Maw, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the age of 77.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Edith Hoots.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, A.Z. Hardin; her granddaughter Erin Hardin; her best friend of 72 years, Brenda Deal and her sisters, Emma Gail Tolley, Autumn "Sis" Patterson, Elaine Johnson, and Aleida Hoots.

Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Wesley Hardin (wife Tammy), Angela Warren (husband Doug), Cody Hardin, and Diedra King (husband Kevin); seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; sister, Myra Hoots; three brothers, Victor "Doc" Hoots, Anthony "Bud" Hoots, and Greg Hoots; many nieces, nephews, and close friends; Kelly Hardin and the Deal family hold a very special place in Maw Jane's heart as well as her family.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville, NC, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 12 pm to celebrate the love, laughter, and strength Maw instilled into her family. Pastor Craig Garren will be officiating. In honor of Jane, please consider donating to the Dementia Society of America to help find a cure for this cruel condition that has affected so many.
