1936 - 2008
Calvin Agerton, age 71, of Valparaiso, Fla., went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2008.
He was born in Geneva County, Ala., and raised in Valparaiso, where he was a resident for over 70 years. Calvin first worked with the Niceville Police Department and then was employed with the City of Niceville Water Department for over 30 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Agerton and her significant other Chris Carpenter; son, Duanne Agerton; two brothers, Charles and William Agerton of Milton, Fla.; four grandchildren. Anthony, Valerie, Elizabeth and Austin, who lives with his aunt, Thelma Rhinehart; and numerous friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calvin was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
Heritage Gardens Funeral Home of Niceville is in charge of arrangements.
