Carlos had a passion for sports; softball (The Dukes #27), the Chicago Cubs, fishing, horseshoes, and simply just hanging out with family and friends.

Along with his sons, Jonathan Gonzales, Jacob and Nathan Reyes, he is survived by his mother Stella; sister Rita; brother Mark and his wife, Jessica; niece Sammi; nephew Mark, Jr.; and grandfather, Santiago Gonzales.
