Peter Edison Sloane, 87, of Falmouth, MA, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010. He graduated from Montclair Academy, Phillips Exeter Academy in 1940 and Yale University in 1944. Peter was a WWII veteran serving the 32nd division in Middle East as the A platoon 567th AFS Ambulance car company. Beloved husband of Barbara Ann (nee Blais) Sloane. Devoted father of Michael Blais Sloane and Lizabeth (nee Sloane) Eggemann. Loving uncle of Thomas Edison Sloane Jr. and his wife Bonnie Lee (nee Fausz) Sloane, David Edward Edison Sloane and his wife Ann Marie (nee Dellaselva) Sloane, Madeleine (nee Sloane) Ingerman and her husband Michael Leigh Ingerman, Christopher Barry Sloane, John Heywood Sloane and his late wife Sylvia Judith (nee Abramson) Sloane. He was predeceased by his parents, John Eyre Sloane and Madeleine (nee Edison) Sloane; 3 brothers, Michael Edison Sloane, Thomas Edison Sloane and his late wife Elaine Bernice (nee Levy) Sloane, the late John Edison Sloane and his late wife Jule Marguerite (nee Day) Sloane; his maternal grandparents, the famous inventor Thomas Alva Edison and Mina (nee Miller) Edison; his paternal grandparents, Thomas O'Conor Sloane and Alice Mary (nee Eyre) Sloane. Peter will also be missed by countless family and friends.
