Delilah M. Angus, 76, formerly of Troy, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 in the Community Hospice at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Ft. Covington, NY, she was daughter of the late Ernest and Loretta Blair Burnell, and the wife of the late Sammie P. Angus and the late Francis Chaplin, Sr.

She lived in Troy for more than 30 years, and was a former Benson, VT resident. She moved to Pittstown with her daughter four years ago. She worked for the former Marshall Ray Corp. in Troy, as a sewing machine operator, for several years.

Delilah was an avid bingo player, and was a member of the Watervliet Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include; three daughters, Diane Austin and Sandra Forette both of Pittstown, and Wanda Woods of Fairhaven, VT, a son Francis Chaplin of Fairhaven, VT, a brother, Layton Burnell of Connecticuit, a sister, Eva Lahaie of Malone, NY, a special brother-in-law, Walter Crogan of Watervliet, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Delilah was predeceased by a son Samuel T.(Butch) Angus, a daughter, Sharon Angus, four brothers, Daniel, Floyd, Edward, and Nolie Burnell, four sisters, Gertrude Abri, Joyce Angus, Marie Russell, and Lillian Crogan, a grandson, Norman (Geno) St. Andrew, a son-in-law, James (Chimunk) Forette, Sr., and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 109th St. & 3rd Ave., Lansingburgh. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the service.

Memorial donations to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 would be appreciated.
