---Jimmie Jay Kirkpatrick was born on October 19, 1950, to Jesse Wright Kirkpatrick and Wanda Mae (Carter) Marsh. He was proceeded in death by both his parents. He married Patty Buck of LaPlata Mo in 1974. He is survived by his daughter Lynette Kirkpatrick and son Jimmy Edwin Kirkpatrick both of Wolfforth, TX. He has three grandchildren Chelsea, Isaiah, and Skye and 3 great grandchildren Araya, Alanis, Luca. all of the Wolfforth area.4 sisters, Kathy Bratton [Bob] Columbia, MO, Sheila Lyons Greentop, Mo, Carla Boston [Jon] Lawrence, Ks and Millie Smyser [Kevin] Kansas City, MO, several nieces and nephews.
---He graduated from Kirksville Senior High in 1968. He spent most of life caring for mentally disabled children and adults. Jim passed away peacefully in Lubbock TX surrounded by family.
---Jim was known for his love of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also a huge fan of Texas Tech football, so he receives a lot of kidding from his Missouri family. He was also into bowling and loved to golf.
---Jim has been cremated with no services planned.
---Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
