May 27, 1939 - Dec 25, 2017
Addie Elizabeth Huffman was led by the angels into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 25, 2017. She passed peacefully at her home among family and friends.
Addie was born May 27, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, JoeCephus and Bertha Roark; sisters, Delcie Daniels, Della Barnett and Margaret Messer; brothers, Bill Roark, RH Roark and Jess Roark.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Huffman, son, Rick (Shirley) Huffman, daughter, Regina Huffman, grandchildren, Dustin, Hannah, Jennifer, and Jonathan, great grandson, Sawyer Brock, brother, Fred (Cindy) Middleton and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Addie walked faithfully as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Sanctuary Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky, where she was considered to be the church mother and a mighty prayer warrior. She taught the Word of God on Sunday mornings and filled in for the Pastor whenever called upon. Addie touched countless lives for the Lord through selfless acts of kindness and generosity. Her family will miss her presence, the Church will miss her service, and the whole world will seem a little less good without her.
A special thanks to her sister-in-law, Michael Suttle and her nieces, Judy Roark and Debbie Brown, whose sacrifice and love comforted her to the end.
A celebration of life will be held at the Lighthouse Sanctuary Church in Middlesboro on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 7pm with Rev. Billy Gower presiding. Music will be provided by her church family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6pm to 7pm on Friday, December 29, 2017, at the Lighthouse Sanctuary Church.
