She was a resident of Pasadena, Texas for over 60 years and a member of Richey Street Baptist Church and a member of The Cornerstones. She was an award winning past member of the Pasadena Art League. Doris was also a seamstress, designing and sewing many wedding dresses and a caterer, baking wedding cakes for family and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, William P. Karcher, son, Philip Lawton Karcher and daughter, Karen Bruyere. She is survived by daughters Rebecca Harris and Linda O'Banion & husband David. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her grandchildren, Jessica England & husband Justin, Christopher O'Banion & wife Cathey, Stacey Bridges & husband Shane and Jason Harris. Doris also leaves her great grandchildren, Nikki Bollinger and husband Truck and Conell Osborne, Aaron and Jacob Badgett, McKayla and Easton Bridges and great-great grandchildren, Mason, Draven, Mahayla and Mercedes Bollinger and countless friends and relatives.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Richey Street Baptist Church 1010 So. Richey St. Pasadena, Texas 77506
