Beverly Ann (Galbraith) Enyeart, 83, of Peru, Indiana, passed away peacefully from this Earth and entered the Kingdom of God, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1:35 a.m.
Beverly was born in Peru, Indiana, February 23, 1940, to Herbert Ulysses Galbraith and Martha Jane (Kintner) Galbraith. She shared a home with her brother, Jerry Dean Galbraith.
She married Charles L. Enyeart, Sr., March 28, 1970, in Conneaut, Ohio and they were blessed by children; Charles L. Enyeart, Jr., Rhonda, Mark, Michelle, James 'Jami', Daniel, Kyle and Timothy.
She married Lee Jay Marsh in 1957 and were blessed with children: Julie and Pamela.
Beverly grew up in Peru, Indiana, attending Holman Elementary as well as Peru Jr./Sr. High School. Beverly loved to sing, and music was a large part of her life. Whether she played music in the home while cleaning or preparing for a holiday or played a CD that she and the love of her life, Charles, enjoyed, music was always in the background. Those who knew Beverly were often treated to the wonderful meals she prepared for loved ones and friends. Her passion for baking and candy-making were well-known throughout her family and the community. Rhubarb pies, Apple dumplings, Peanut butter fudge, Divinity, and cakes with her famous frostings were always requested for birthdays, holidays, funeral meals at St. Charles School, and prayer group meetings. When it came to holidays, Beverly had a way of making everything so special for her family. Many years ago, she started a tradition of making a large breakfast on Valentine's Day. It was held in the formal dining room of the Enyeart home, illuminated by candlelight. The best dishes were placed on the white tablecloth and each person had a gift on their plate. She made a special dip just for the fruit and, of course, music was playing in the background to set the mood. Whether it was a weekend or a weekday, the day began with a special send-off created by Beverly.
Beverly loved being a part of the St. Charles Catholic Church and some of the groups formed within the church such as the Rosary and Altar Society and the Mission of Mary prayer group. Praying the rosary was something she cherished as well as attending Mass with her husband, children and later on, her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed her time singing in the St. Charles Catholic Church Choir. She was a devout Christian and happily shared her faith with everyone.
Beverly was a homemaker, a beautician in Speedway, Indiana (early in her career) and then opened her own beauty shop in the home she loved the most, 77 East Third Street, Peru.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and most of all devoted to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Time spent with her husband, Charles, meant everything to her. Beverly was proud of her Miami Indian heritage and felt honored to be a descendant of Francis Godfroy. She spent a few years working at the American Indians Center in Peru and in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1982, Beverly and Charles were named Miami County Citizens of the Year for hosting a Thanksgiving dinner at St. Charles School for anyone in the community.
It was evident Beverly not only was an incredibly loving and caring person to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but to everyone she met. She was kind, giving and nurturing to all.
Beverly is survived by her children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with those who preceded her in death: parents Herbert and Martha, husband Charles L. Enyeart, Sr., brother Jerry Galbraith, infant daughter Tina Angel Enyeart, daughter Lori Marsh, and granddaughter Gabrielle Violet Ann Enyeart.
