KEYSTONE - James A. Andersen, 77, passed away peacefully Friday, May 19, 2023, at Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.
James was born March 3, 1946, in Ceterville, SD, one of four children to Arnold and Estella Andersen. He faithfully served in the 748 medics out of Vermillion National Guard, serving the Rapid City flood and many other areas in South Dakota, and always being a faithful member of the American Legion. His greatest joy was fishing with his friends.
Survivors include son; daughter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death, as his sister Kathryn Stverak, Nephew Jeff Stverak, and first grandson Matthew Valdez.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Keystone Cemetery.
