He was born May 9, 1929 in Morgan County, TN, the son of Clarence and Lillie McBee Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Rogers of Crossville; daughters, Kathy Patton and Debbie Patton, both of Crossville, and Tammie Dye of Grandview, TN; sons, Bob Bell of Cookeville, Jim Rogers of Collinsville, AL, Tom Rogers and Gary Rogers, both of Crossville, and Larry Rogers of Dallas, GA; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Novella Rymer of Houston, TX, Lucille Warf of Michigan, and Evelyne Moore of Oliver Springs, TN; and brothers, Joe Rogers, FL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Burgess Rogers; parents, Clarence and Lillie Rogers; brothers, Johnny and Sherman Rogers; and sister, Susie Rymer.
Pallbearers were Brian Bell, Brent Bell, Jim Bo Rogers, Toby Patton, Willie Patton and Gary Rogers Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Josh Dye, Justin Dye and Keith Rogers.
Bro. Johnny Tolbert officiated.
