Martha Anne Bieber, 65, passed away suddenly at her home in Castle Rock, CO on Friday, June 26, 2015. She was born December 30, 1949, in Salina, KS, to Cleophas & Ruth Wessling. Martha graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Mary Mount College in Salina, KS with a BS in nursing. Martha married Jeff Bieber on June 3, 1972 in Salina, KS. Together, Martha & Jeff owned and operated Kay Jan, Inc., a John Deere farm equipment dealership with multiple locations in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas. They moved to Fort Morgan in 1986 and retired in Castle Rock, CO in 2013. Wherever Martha lived she always became involved and active in her community. From her charitable giving, to Foundation and Club leadership, to the sharing of her time, experience, logic and love with those around her; she definitely touched many people and created respectful lasting relationships. In both her role as CFO of Kay Jan and also any office or volunteer duty she accepted, she delivered her commitment with fire, conviction and follow through. Martha was passionate about her music. She was the organist at the Catholic Church; she played the bassoon and oboe in the community band; and she heartily promoted any and every event or observation of musical talent and enjoyment. She joined others in the charitable drive to recreate the 100 year old tradition of a Fort Morgan bandstand. Martha's family was important to her beyond measure. They were treasures for her to develop, value and love. She was their rock, their support, their educator, their cheerleader and their congratulator. Martha's compassionate thoughtfulness toward people from all walks of life will be treasured and remembered forever. Survivors include her husband Jeff; 2 sons, Zachary David and his wife Heather of Wellington, CO and Jacob McAllaster, and his wife Vasiliki of Castle Rock; her Father, Cleophas Wessling of Salina, KS; 2 sisters, Jeanne Goodman of Hutchinson, KS, and Connie McLoughlin of Tulsa, OK; 2 brothers, David Wessling of Albert Lea, MN, and Jeffery Wessling of Wichita, KS; and three grandchildren, Styliani, Zoe, and Reason. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, July 3, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. The service concluded at the church. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to The Martha Bieber Memorial Fund. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
