Daughter of David Dutro & Mary "Molly" Crickbaum. She was the first child born, in the newly opened township of Blue Rock, Muckingum Co., OH. In early youth, she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and afterward married Mordecai Bishop. They came to Athens, MO in 1856 and her husband devoted the remainder of his life here to preaching in Clark and neighboring counties. She remained a faithful member of the church until her death.
They were the parents of 9 children: Daniel, Lucy Kerns, Amy Hanson, Mordecai Jr., Edward T., Samuel N., Sarah Caroline Kellogg, William H.H. and Mary Elizabeth Latta.
The tombstone (of which I had made) was incorrectly spelled as Detrow... as based on obituary information. The correct spelling on maiden name is Dutro.
