Vada was born December 15, 1942, in Mountain Home, Idaho, the second child of Fletcher Cullen and Flossie Ethel Parrish-Cullen. Vada spent her early years at the Cullen Ranch on Shoofly Creek in Owyhee County, Idaho. She attended grade school and high school in Grand View, graduating in 1961, Salutatorian of her class. She attended Nampa Business college, returning to Grand View employed by Glenns Ferry Bank from 1962-1967. Vada married Don Allen Alley of Pawnee, Oklahoma on January 13, 1963. They adopted their little girl Donna Jo in 1967, just six weeks old. Vada worked for Simplot Livestock Feedlot in Grand View from 1969 to 1986, she then moved to Nampa, Idaho in April of 1986. Vada owned and operated Bargain Boutique consignment store from 1986-2000, at which time she sold the store, then went to work for Ross store at Karcher Mall until retiring in October of 2009, to enjoy more time with friends, family and her home.

Vada loved spending time outside, talking with anyone who wanted to visit, playing jokes and teasing anyone who could take it; had a sense of humor and loved the Lord. She was thankful for all her blessings throughout life.

She was survived by her daughter Donna Alley of Nampa, Idaho, Donna's friend Justin Hubbard of Caldwell, Idaho, Granddaughter Lori Appodaca and great grandchildren Leland Hagler, Amelia Hagler and Adeline Appodaca of Mountain Home, Idaho, her sister Nelma Love of Star, Idaho, her nephews Bob Love (Susan) of Nampa, Idaho and Mike Love (Cynda) of Bloomington, Illinois and cousin Carole Robertson of Lebanon, Tennessee plus so many friends who she truly loved.
