Beverly Ann (Barr) McFarlin, 90, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023.
Ann was born November 11, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa to Lewis and Clara (Oswalt) Barr.
She graduated from Des Moines West/Tech High School and was a Des Moines resident her entire life.
Ann and her husband, Robert were married in The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa on November 2, 1952.
They loved to travel, and Walt Disney World and Disneyland were some of her favorite destinations.
Ann was devoted to her family and was the owner and bookkeeper for both family businesses - Hamborg Meat Market in Des Moines and McFarlin Auto Collision.
Enjoying every moment of her 90 years kept Ann young at heart. She loved to tap dance and was very fashionable, all the way down to her impeccably cute shoes!
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bob McFarlin, Sr.; her parents, Lewis Barr and Clara Strange; and her sister, Jeannie Pedro (Pete).
There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be preferred to
Animal Rescue League of Iowa or to UnityPoint Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
