"Charles August Johnson, 79, passed away at his home, 413 Fayal avenue on Monday and leaves as survivors a daughter, Miss Myrtle Johnson of Chicago; a grand-daughter, Jacqueline Jacobson, Eveleth; a niece, Mrs. Albin Johnson of Virginia, and a cousin, Louis Larson of Hinckley. A son, Pvt. Emil Johnson, died in Minneapolis last Tuesday after having received an honorable discharge from the armed forces and was buried in Eveleth on Friday. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Peterson Funeral home with Rev. N. E. Vickberg officiating and interment will be in the Eveleth cemetery. He was born in Sweden March 8, 1866 and had been a resident of the Range for the past 50 years."
