We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michelle Tierney, who left us on May 23, 2023, at the age of 56.

Misha was born on Jan. 1 and was the 1967 New Years Baby in Moab, Utah. She spent her life surrounded by loving family and friends.

Misha was a kind, caring, and compassionate soul who had an undeniable passion for sewing and gardening. She spent countless hours in her sewing room, creating beautiful quilts, blankets and clothing for herself and her loved ones.

She also had a green thumb and was endlessly excited when she was tending to her garden where she cultivated an impressive array of flowers, fruits and vegetables. In her youth she loved volunteering and building hiking trails near Arches National Park.

Many of us knew Misha for her gentle nature, warm smile and infectious laugh. Over the years she shared her passion for mint tea and Jesus with her family and friends, who continued to be inspired by her talents and her zest for life.

In addition to her hobbies, Misha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Brad Tierney, of Hampden, Maine; children, Ian Looney and wife Jerrica of Newport, Maine; Megan Tierney of Pittsfield, Maine; Evan and Reuben Tierney of Hampden; grandkids, Brecker and Siedrus Looney and many dear friends and loved ones extending from Maine to Utah.

She will be remembered for her love and kindness, her gentle spirit and her unwavering commitment to her family.

We will miss Misha dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with those who have gone before her including her mom, dad and sister. Rest in peace, Misha. You will be forever missed.
