Patricia was born on March 11, 1928, in Davenport, Iowa, to Glenn and Marie Kaufman. Patricia was raised in Cedar Rapids, IA and attended the University of Iowa where she majored in psychology and speech therapy.
At the University of Iowa, she met Charles B. Larrabee. They were married in August of 1951 and moved to Albuquerque, NM where Charles attended law school at the University of New Mexico.
Patricia was the first speech pathologist hired by the Albuquerque Public Schools and Charles joined the Rodey Law Firm after graduating from UNM.
Charles and Patricia raised five children, Chuck Larrabee of Albuquerque, NM, Ann Schmidt of Salt Lake City, UT, Susan Larrabee of Albuquerque, NM, Julia Patten of Corrales, NM and John Larrabee of Parkton, Maryland.
Patricia is survived by her five children, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and her nephew, Richard Kaufman of Minneapolis, MN.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Glenn and Marie, husband, Charles and her brother, Richard.
Patricia is remembered for her love for Charles, her children and entire family.
Patricia enjoyed skiing, tennis, world travel, photography, reading, and her many friends.
At her request, no memorial service will be held. Patricia will be laid to rest with Charles later this summer in Clermont, Iowa.
The family thanks the caregivers who dedicated themselves to Patricia in her final months, in particular Nora, Claudia and Lillie, and Kim from Q Hospice for her wisdom and advice.
