Rita S. Kumpfmiller Niwransky, age 96, of West Sunbury, formerly of Allison Park passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her residence.
Rita was born April 5, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late John Kumpfmiller and the late Gertrude Hohman Kumpfmiller. Rita was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Glenshaw. She had been employed at Glenshaw Glass and Kaufmann's Department Store.
Rita is survived by one daughter, Patricia Quaid of CO; one son, Jeff Kumpfmiller, and his wife Debbie Welsh Michael, of West Sunbury; one grandson Cody Quaid of CO; two great grandchildren and several step grandchildren. One sister, Elsie McDonough, of FL and one brother, Dennis Kumpfmiller, of Pittsburgh also survive.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
Friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Thursday, April 27, 2017. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 28, 2017 with Father James Bedillion, of St. Alphonsus Parish, officiating.
Burial will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery.
