A native of Draper, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church, was a World War II Army veteran, and was a retired dispatcher for Eden Police Department.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Howlett Aheron of the home; son and daughter-in-law, John Mark Aheron and Nancy Aheron of Trumbull, Conn.; brother, John Robert Aheron of Stokesdale, Jimmy Aheron of Burlington; and three grandchildren, Sarah Aheron, Esther Aheron, and John Aheron, all of Trumbull, Conn.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Fair Funeral Home.
