Bobby "Bob" Gene Allen, age 91, of McConnells, SC passed away on Friday, June 16th, 2023.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church, 3850 York St. Sharon, SC 29742. The funeral service will begin at 3 pm with Reverend David Sealy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Bob was born on December 23rd, 1931 in Cleveland County, NC. He was the son of the late Baxter Lee Allen and Pearl Shufford Allen. He was a veteran of the US ARMY, a member of Sharon Baptist Church, and retired from Duke Power.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Foster Allen; his daughter, Denise Hogue; his sons, David Allen, Dennis Allen, and Dean Allen. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Josh Allen (Leah), Caleb Allen, Celeste Orr (Joshua), Cameron Allen (Olivia), and Matthew Hogue; and his great grandchildren: Jax, Harper, Colin, Azalee, William and Collins.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Allen, his grandson, Brandon Hogue, and his siblings, Jack Allen, Lawrence Allen, and Joe Allen.
