Bernadette Harrison "Grammy" McMillan of Knoxville, Tennessee, born July 20, 1931 to the late Marie DeMattos and late Arthur Caleb Harrison, passed away on August 11, 2018 after a hard fought
battle with cancer. Berna attended Knoxville Catholic High School and the University of Tennessee. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. Her early years of employment were with South Central Bell. Berna raised five beautiful children then enjoyed working at Rickie's Petites and William Sonoma. She enjoyed life activities to the fullest, loving her Tennessee Vols football and basketball and hiking in the mountains. Bernadette was active with the Mobile Meals Program in Knoxville for many years. She so enjoyed quilting with the Quilting Bee's of Immaculate Conception Church and their mission. Bernadette's smile exemplified her love of life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alex McMillan III and sister Margurite Harrison McCampbell. Bernadette is survived by her sons, Alex McMillan IV and wife Carolyn; David A. McMillan, and Christopher H. McMillan and wife Landis; daughters; Marci Brien and husband Christopher Brien and Julie McMillan; grandchildren, Cristen Sizemore and husband Kevin, Alexa McMillan, Caleb Brien and wife Mahala, Spencer Brien, Jordan McMillan, and Claire McMillan; and friends, Cheryl Ellis, Kalin Smith, Amy Edgar, Vicki Fletcher and Bonnie Carver.
She is also survived by her sister Loretta H. McKinnon of Houston Texas.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel 5301 Fountain Road, Knoxville, TN 37918. Rosary will immediately follow. Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, August 18, at Immaculate Conception Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ladies of Charity 120 West Baxter Ave., Knoxville TN 37917 and Young Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division St. Knoxville TN 37919.
