Ronald D. Dunn, age 86, died July 5, 2023, at the Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, KS. He was born to Henry and Martha (McMahan) Dunn, on August 28, 1936, in Clay Center, KS. Ronald grew up on a farm near Idana. He was a Clay Center Community High School graduate. He married Delores Brown on February 2, 1957. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2022. Ronald wore many hats throughout his life and always stayed busy. He operated the road grater in rural areas, was a city employee for several years at the power plant and later picked up late shifts at Hutchinson Maywrath after farming during the day among other jobs. Ronald spent most of his life farming. At the request of his father, Ronald and Delores moved to the family farm to help with the farming operation. He also did custom cuts and baled hay around the surrounding area for rural farmers. Ronald and Delores moved into Clay Center in 1981. Ronald was a huge sports fan. He coached basketball for a girl's league in Morganville for a few years and played baseball in Idana and Abilene. His love of sports did not end there, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, ice skating, and roller skating. Ronald's children could always count on him to drop everything and be there to help them with anything at any time. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. You would usually always see a smile from ear to ear when they were around. In addition to his wife Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Dale Dunn; sisters, Betty James, Irene Sharp, Maxine Greenlee, Dorothy Tague and Jean Dunn.

Survivors include 5 children, a sister, 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services: Monday, July 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Idana First Presbyterian Church in Idana, KS

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
