Joel Dale Thomas Sr., 64, of Fouke, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in a local hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Miller County, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire and a member of Fouke First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Thomas of Fouke; three daughters, Vickie Howard and Peggy Johnson of Texarkana and Tammy Rayburn of Genoa, Ark.; one son, Joel D. Thomas Jr., of Fouke; his mother, Alma Thomas of Fouke; one sister, Becky Jones of Stamps, Ark.; one brother, D. R. Thomas of Fouke; nine grandchildren; ten stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services will be 11 am today at Fouke First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Lavon Piker and Ben Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mound Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
The family will be at their home on County Road 41 in Fouke.
