Second wife of John G. Simpkins

Irene (Bair) Simpkins--Age 53 years, of Pleasantville, Pa., and formerly of the Cheat Neck and Lake Lynn area, died Thursday, Oct 18, 1967, in the University Medical Center, Morgantown, W.Va. She was the daughter of Mrs. Anna H. Bair, of Mt. Clemens, Michigan and the Late William S. Bair. Mrs. Simpkins was also predeceased by her husband, John G. Simpkins, in 1961 and a son, Sgt. Jerome Simpkins, in 1953.
She was a member of the Cheat Neck Methodist Church. In addition to her mother, surviving are four sons, Melvin, of Huntsburg, Ohio, and Robert, George and Willliam, all of Pleasantville, Pa.: two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Patty) Moreland, Lake Lynn, Pa., and Mrs. Albert (Happy) Lewis, Huntsburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar and William Bair, both of Pt. Marion, RD: five sisters, Mrs. Marie Coburn, Waynesburg, Pa., Mrs. Donna Hartmann, Midville, N.J., Mrs. Eva Erwood, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Verne Clark, Pt. Marion, RD., and Mrs. Mildred Greer, Mt. Clemens, Mich. Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Pt. Marion, after 7 this evening, and until 2 p.m. Sunday, October 22, the hour of service. Rev. William R. Hoffman and Rev. William D. Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Pt. Marion.
