Richard Jerome Morris, a proud veteran of the Air Force, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 91 years old.
Richard, son of Theodore and Christina (Gouine) Morris, was born in Grayling Michigan on May 8, 1932. He attended Mackinaw schools and graduated High School in 1950. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Army National Guard and eventually attained the rank of Technical Sergeant in the Air Force, from which he retired in 1971. As part of his military career, he was awarded service medals for both Korea and Vietnam. He returned to his home state in Michigan and his career at Montgomery Wards where he won National Salesman of the Year awards.
