Roxie Ellene Ziglaz Mayfiel 71,Route 2,Somerset,Kentucky died Saturday ,June 22,at Hummana Lake Cumberland Hospital following a long illness.
She was a member of Slate Branch Baptist Church.
Born June 3 ,1914,in Pulaski County,she was the daughter of J.J.. and Matilda Watson Ziglar.
She was married August 6,1930 in Huntsville ,Tenn. to Lonnie E. Mayfield ,who survives.
Other survivors are;four sons- Robert Mayfield ,Boswell,Ind; Carl C, Mayfield ,Lafayette,Ind.;Allen and Curtis Mayfield ,both of Somerset,Ky; two daughters Lessie Lee Brown ,Louisville,Ky and Shirley Wilson ,Faubush ,Ky.;two brothers Chester and Lester Ziglar ,both of New Castle ,Ind; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren'
Preceding her in death were four brothers,John,Tom,Homer,Bill Ziglar and a sister Mary Stone.
Services were held at 2:p.m. at Pulaski County Funeral Home with the REVS.J.S.New and Otis Caudill officiating.
Burial was in Slate Branch Cemetery.
