Dr. Mitchel David Bean Sr., 68, of Moulton,Dr. Bean, who died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at his home, was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Michigan. He was a pastor and an educator, pastoring in Baptist churches in Michigan for more than 50 years, and was the founder of the Metropolitan Baptist Bible Institute in Detroit, Mich.
Survivors his wife, Augzelle Bean; two sons, Mitchel David Bean Jr. of Plymouth, Mich., and Ronald Timothy Bean of Upper Peninsula, Mich.; one daughter, Deborah Kay Bean of Moulton; two sisters, Dr. Naomi Freeman of Monroe, Mich., and Betty Dabbs of Sparta, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
