Ruth was born on February 17, 1931 to Julia L. (Miller) Busch and William H. Busch. She attended Dolgeville Schools and spent her youth in Dolgeville, NY with her family. She was baptized at the Dolgeville United Methodist Church. Ruth became engaged to Everett J. Bass, III on October 12, 1948 and they were united in marriage on April 23, 1949. Ruth and Everett met at a dance in Fairfield, NY. She often spoke about how Everett quickly fell in love with her, but had to win her over first. Together they welcomed twelve children - David, Daniel, Arthur, Julia, Everett, Valerie, William, Duane, Bernard, Ruth, Jason, and Carrie.
Ruth was a faithful woman who was devoted to the Lord and her family. Her heart was given entirely to her children. Throughout her 92 years on Earth she saw beauty in everything and everyone around her. She is described as a saint - never speaking ill of others, passing no judgment regardless of the circumstance, and having a beautiful, selfless soul. She gracefully challenged those around her to be the best versions of themselves. She is, and will continue to remain, the epitome of what a mother strives to be. She filled the room with warmth and kindness. To know her was to love her, and to love her was a gift. Ruth's legacy will live on forever through the many stories and memories of those who were blessed to have known her.
Leaving to mourn are her children and several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Everett J. Bass, III; beloved sons David P. Bass, Daniel M. Bass, Everett J. Bass, IV, William H. Bass, and Jason S. Bass; parents, Julia L. (Miller) Busch and William H. Busch; and siblings Edna Busch, Arthur Busch, James Busch, Lewis Busch, and Stanley Busch.
