A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he had worked for the State of North Carolina and was a farmer. He was a member of Spring Mountain Baptist Church.
Mr. Nesbitt was the son of the late Ben F. and Bell Reed Nesbitt and was the husband of the late Lucille Nesbitt and Lois Nesbitt. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Rosabell, Gertrude, and Robirtha Nesbitt, and brothers, Albert, Alvin, and Ben Nesbitt.
Surviving are his nephews, Gene Nesbitt and Morgan Nesbitt, both of Fairview, Alan Nesbitt of Atlanta, GA and Tommy Nesbitt of Hopewell, VA; nieces, Alfie Harkins and Aline Lisenbee both of Fletcher, and Shirlene Dalton and Earline Wright both of Fairview; several great nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
