Anna Lee Bearden, 74, Inverness, died Monday, March 31, 2008. She was born July 23, 1933, to Raymond and Marguerite Little Goheen Foster and came here in October 2007 from her native Bellingham, Wash. She was a restaurant manager. She served several years as a caregiver for her mother. She enjoyed snow skiing, camping and fishing. Survivors include her son, James Raymond Cernich and wife Cherise of Inverness; sisters, June Chism of Everett, Wash., Joanie Gilmore and husband Bill of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Susan Towne and husband Milt of Pismo Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren, Todd Cernich of Inverness, Angie Owens and husband James, U.S. Army stationed in Iraq, Trevor Cernich, Tyler Cernich and Taylor Cernich, all of Inverness; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in the state of Washington. She was a neighbor of my mom's. I met her after she got sick and I offered to walk her cute little dog. She was so very grateful, and I was grateful to meet such a sweet lady. I only wish I would of had the chance to know her longer. She died of lung cancer.
