Gary William Baker, age 76, of Moberly, MO, previously of Shelbina, MO, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly, MO.
Gary was born December 24, 1946, in Shelbina, MO the son of William Bernard and Thelma Lucy (Masten) Baker.
Gary is survived by his son, Jason William Baker of Collinsville, IL; two sisters, Nancy Wood (Larry) of Clarence, MO and Barbara Latchford (Sam) of Shelbina, MO; and one brother, Dennis Kinzer of Shelbina, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister, Thelma Marie Kinzer.
Gary graduated from Monroe City High School. He served his country in the United States Army being stationed in Alaska. Gary spent most of his adult life in Shelby County. He helped his mother raise dogs and cats for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10 am at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Memorials may be made to Kendall United Methodist Cemetery or Missouri Right to Life.
