He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Frances Brockenborough; son, Douglas Brockenborough; stepson, Alphonso Brooks; four grandchildren; three sisters, Florine M. and Majoicy Brockenborough and Sarah B. Thompson; one brother, George W. Taylor (Christine); one brother-in-law, Christopher L. Harris (Robin); devoted nephew, Berkley Brockenborough; a lifelong friend, Jimmie Hawkes; a host of other relatives and friends.
Remains rested at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where viewing was held on Monday, March 31, 2008, from 9am to 8pm and where family received friends from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral service was held at 1pm on April 1, 2008 in the March Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dexter Cannon officiated. Interment First Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Mechanicsville, VA.
